A hard lesson is a lesson learned.

There's an old saying that I've heard quite a few times mostly in religious circles and it goes something like this: "God will keep putting you trough the same tests until you have learned the lesson you're supposed to learn from it".

Well, it doesn't really matter wherever you're a believer or not...Call it God, call it Life itself if you want, it is an actual truth that we learn the hard way. There are times where we keep putting ourselves in the same situation over and over even when it can be a specially difficult one to go trough and the sad part is that as with most of the things in our lives, we're not the only ones that end up being affected by it...even worst, hurt by it.

It is my own experience that some of my desicions have hurt others, it is the experience of others close to me..heck, it might be the experience of us all because there's just a bunch of stuff we really dont control even when we convince ourselves that we do...I've come to learn this: 9 out of 10 times it is not for us to actually get the Bigger picture, just to learn how to make the most out of the cards we've been delt with..making each hand count..Be confident that everything that happens was somehow supposed to happen..It might be His plan..It might be our own adjustment to that plan..Just try and remind yourself that Everything counts, cause the good things are there to make you happy and the bad ones are there to teach you new lessons and make sure you appreciate what you've been given.

Guys, there's a way to avoid hurting ourselves and the ones that we love by putting us and them trough the same bad situations over and over...It's not easy but it's possible because that's what we're supposed to do after all and possible is just enough (yup, it's a Soul Surfer thing)..And that's to make sure we learn the lesson..And don't allow yourself to forget it or you will just fall back into the same dark place.
